Super french touch: Part 1 Mikross
Jul. 16th, 2016 03:58 amHello Is been one year or two I watch this website, and seems I go soften I decide to subscribe and try to get god time. If you have no already understood by my name(or my horrible grammar.) I'm french and I decide has a first post to get aboot a subject who don't get the attention is deserves: Super heroes made in other country then america!
I'm pretty sure some of you are familiar with Japanese heroes like Kamen Rider of Pinoy one like Darna, but France have a long history with super heroes.
So I decide to talk aboot which I consider like the most important piece of french super heroes history, Mustang. Is beginning with Lug, the most important french editor of american super heroes (marvel one to be precise) thank to the success LUG decide to create their own super heroes with their own artist (long story short, the comics was heavily censored thank to a stupid law, and Lug have plenty of artist who gain experience of it.)
At first they think of create a new magazine, but time run out and decide to use a western anthology to introduce three new character (one create in hurry but we get to that later.)
And thus in the year 1980, Mikkros by Jean-Yves Mitton(who take the alias of John Milton for joking around), Ozark by Franco Oneta and Photonik by Cyro Tota(who became Cyrus Tota.) was born. And we star our journey to french super heroes with Mike Ross :
Our story begin IN SPAAAAACE!!!!!
We cut to a stadium were our first protagonist,Big Crabb a arrogant yankee who one shot is adversary much to the displeasure of the american public, why ? Because you will soon discover then the marvel universe is a great inspiration for this french heroes so of course the civil are douche.
We cut to Priscilla aka Starella a gymnastic, after an impressive display of his capacity she announce then she quit the sport to marry someone name Mike Ross.
We cut to the aforementioned who... pulverize the record of the decathlon and do the same thing to 100 meter freestyle. After achieve something then even Steve Roger would struggle to do, Mike announce then he quit the sport for becoming Entomologist, the study of insect.
One month our trio live in a building who contain a lab from Harvard, we are also to the dynamic of the group, Mike is the scientist who have nothing but work in mind, Starella is the neglect girlfriend complaining aboot how i boyfriend don't look at her and Crabby the brutish and inelegant sport-man who hint on her.
In the same time the space ship for the first page return and arrive on earth.
The alien enter in contact with our heroes who leave the building and find a tiny space ship.
Despite his size the ship is not armeless, it shrink our heroes and we are introduce to the Svizz, a race space bug conqueror. Quit ironic for Entomologist.
The general expose his plan, he gonna transform the trio into super powered slave and use them to whip out humanity. Kind of a really Kamen Rider plan, but our heroes are save by... a child who take the shuttle like it was a toy... Ok move one.
Our take advantage of this weird help and escape before the end of the transformation. Our story end with the general of the cosmic cockroach who declare then Mikross and his friend must be destroy if the insect want to conquer the universe. Honestly Mikross age pretty badly, despite the awesome art and the interesting design, the story look like more of a satyr of super heroes story (and french comics have a lot of this, the most famous be Super Dupont.) then a real one. But compare to then next entry, is almost a master piece. Come next week for: ORZAK
